A bit about Vijyesh

I am a student at the University of Glasgow studying Business and Management and I adore my course because I believe it reveals the often forgotten business world that surrounds us. I enjoy learning languages in my free time, I am fluent in French and I am currently learning Spanish! I love sciences, economics and English, but I am truly passionate about mathematics. This is because mathematics forms our understanding of the material world and it can also be developed into a super useful skill that is applicable on a daily basis throughout our lives. Throughout my own years at school, I found that the assistance of a tutor helped me immeasurably in solidifying my subject knowledge and confidence. I wish to offer the same support to my students. In my university exchange semester (which I spent in the city of Nantes in France) I taught English to several classes of students at different schools. This really convinced me of my passion for teaching, and for the English language. Additionally, the opportunity also made me become more observant and flexible in order to tailor my approach the specific needs of my students. This is reflected on my lesson plans, which will be entirely based my discussions and progress with the students.

How does Vijyesh run their lessons?

I am very flexible in my teaching style and approach, so the way I run my lessons is completely dependent on your preferences and confidence with the subject. An initial introduction call that will give me an idea of how to begin our learning journey together. This could be through recapping some theory, working on some practice questions or directly taking on past paper questions. As our lessons go on and I can observe our progression, the approach I take may change slightly.
