A bit about Tatun
I am currently in my fourth year at the University of Edinburgh. I have really enjoyed my studies here and am very enthusiastic to share what I have learned with my students. I am British-American and went to school in France so I am familiar with a variety of school systems. Moving between schools also made me appreciate the importance of a good tutor. In my first years of university, I received three awards for my performance and I attribute a great deal of my writing ability to the tutor I had in school. My aim is to support my students to become confident writers and provide them with tools and strategies that make exams much more approachable.
How does Tatun run their lessons?
The way I run my lessons is... Taking time to get to know my students and their academic needs so I can tailor lessons to help each student reach their goals. I like to use a combination of past paper questions, and writing exercises, to improve confidence and make exams less daunting. I believe that learning how to structure an argument is one of the most challenging aspects of essay-based subjects, so I make it a priority to share the planning strategies and techniques I have developed in my lessons.
