A bit about Sarah
Hello, I’m Sarah! I’m a medical student at Imperial College London with a passion for education and widening participation. I really enjoy helping students recognise their potential, build confidence in their abilities, and develop effective approaches to learning.
I have experience tutoring students for the UCAT, having supported five students with developing their problem-solving, decision-making and exam techniques. I particularly enjoy challenging students to think beyond simply memorising information, encouraging them to understand the reasoning behind what they are learning and apply it confidently to unfamiliar problems.
As a medical student, I have developed a strong understanding of Biology, alongside a growing knowledge of Pharmacology that builds on my foundation in Chemistry. I achieved AAAA at A-level and, importantly, Chemistry was a subject in which I made significant progress once I understood how to approach learning and revision effectively. I chose to pursue tutoring because I value being part of a student's educational journey. Whether a student is aiming to improve their grades, prepare for an important exam, or simply become more confident in their learning, I want to help them develop not only their subject knowledge but also the study and problem-solving strategies that will benefit them beyond the classroom.
