A bit about David

Hello. My name is David, and I am pleased to be offering private tutoring lessons in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of Mechanics all up to and including Advanced Higher. I am a recent masters graduate of the University of Edinburgh, obtaining a first class degree in theoretical physics. I also run my own tutoring company, NovaTutors, where I manage our team of over 50 private tutors across Scotland. This has given me an unparalleled grasp of what works and what doesn't when revising and a deep understanding of the subjects that your child is studying. This, combined with over five years of tutoring experience, allows me to develop your child’s subject ability to a greater extent than they would often achieve in school. When I sat my own SQA exams I achieved six A-band ones at Higher and four A-band ones at Advanced Higher (Maths, Mechanics, Physics and Chemistry). I attained 99% in my Advanced Higher Maths exam and 98% in my Higher maths exam. As one of the 3 highest achieving students in Scotland I was awarded an SQA star award upon leaving high school. How does David run their lessons?

I am highly passionate about the subjects I teach and can enthusiastically guide a student through difficult problems and concepts, helping them develop their core understanding of the subject. I am also able to teach the student good exam technique and the best ways for them to learn and revise on their own, which is vital for preparing for exams and learning new material.
