A bit about Cate

I am a 3rd year Physics undergraduate student with 4+ years experience tutoring students. Starting in College I helped younger students with homework, which helped me get a role at Novatutors to continue expanding my skillset as a tutor. I am very flexible with accommodating my student's busy schedules, and tailor my lessons to the needs and accommodations each student requires. In my spare time, I enjoy bouldering, reading and live music.

How does Cate run their lessons?

I always get to know where a student is at the start of our sessions, through practice tests and asking about their confidence on different topics. We then create a plan to maximise te time we have available. My lessons tend to be very problem-solving based, and we complete a range o questions through the sessions, addressing gaps in knowledge as and when they arise. Once we have covered the topics we need to, we will look at at different exam-style questions, using both exam techniques and the content we have covered to solve new them.
