A bit about Ananya

Hello! I am presently a final year student at the University of Edinburgh studying Veterinary Medicine & Surgery. I have studied the equivalent of Advanced Higher Mathematics and Biology in India, achieving an A* in both subjects. I also graduated top of my class in Mathematics and Biology. Having familiarised myself with the Scottish curriculum extensively, I strongly believe in adapting my teaching styles to meet the student’s needs. My passion for Biology and Mathematics is something I hope to instill in my students. Offering a friendly and nurturing environment, to facilitate effective learning and helping my students grow their confidence.

How does Ananya run their lessons?

Having studied the SQA exam board extensively, I understand what they are looking for. I will go through many practice questions with the student and teach them good exam technique. My approach to teaching is also very thorough, I like to make good use of diagrams and illustrations in both biology and mathematics. I believe visual learning is very beneficial for understanding the core concepts. My teaching philosophy is practice makes perfect. I am very passionate about the subjects I teach and focus on helping students with problems they face, guiding them step by step to make the best of their educational journey.
