A bit about Alasdair

I've just finished a 5 year master's degree in Physics at Edinburgh and am now taking some time to focus on my sport (orienteering!). I've had experience of tutoring at school and always loved sharing my passion for maths and physics with others, often informally in workshop and tutorial groups. Since teaching is the best form of learning, tutoring also allows me to continue to reinforce my maths and physics skills gained throughout school and university.

How does Alasdair run their lessons?

Lessons with me aim to both develop the student's understanding of and enthusiasm for the subject. Each lesson is personalised based on the individual's goals and aspirations, and I bring a friendly and relaxed attitude to tutoring. Whether your goal is achieving certain exam results or developing your understanding of difficult concepts, I believe all it requires is the right attitude and a little time, and it needn't be stressful.
