A bit about Aarushi

Upon completion of high school, I studied Biology at Western University, Canada. I am currently studying Veterinary Medicine at the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh. I am very passionate about the welfare of both domestic and production animals and look forward to practicing medicine very shortly. I excelled in mathematics as a young student. I enrolled in the Kumon math program and then became a Kumon math tutor upon completion of level J. I tutored math for four years for students ages 5 to 17 years old. I am enthusiastic to share my expertise and help students achieve their academic goals.

How does Aarushi run their lessons?

I like to go through sample questions/problems together during my lessons. I use a tablet with a pen so that I can draw out pictures, diagrams, equations etc. so that my students can understand all the steps I take to get to the final answer. Once the student understands how to approach the problem, I encourage them to try it on their own and then check their answers. I use analogies to help students understand biological concepts such as photosynthesis or glycolysis. I am a great listener and I notice what topics my students are not understanding or struggling with and then focus on improving those.
